Bit of a strange title to this post.

Ben, our CTO (that’s Chief Technical Officer to you and me) made this comment at our morning meeting and it kind of resonated with some changes we have been making to our booking engine recently. We have made it look so much smarter and cleaner than before and we’re already seeing some positive feedback and increased booking conversions. Have you taken a look?
Gone are the static displays, and welcome to flippable cards!

Now your customers can easily see the rooms that are available and ALL the rates that are applicable to that stay date. Your guests can simply click on another room (maybe to check out the fixtures and fittings?) and scroll through the uploaded images, or simply click on Rates and Book to view the different rates available before making a booking.
This also looks great on mobile view too, as the flip will show the rates information in the same screen space.
Not only will the guest be able to see what their room is like, but they may even take you up on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast upgrade or perhaps, stay a little longer, meaning increased revenue per booking and less reliance on Online Travel Agents.
Remember that your Booking Engine is the gateway to more direct bookings, it’s your shop window so make sure your images are modern and up to date! If you don’t have images loaded against each room/property then you can add them in by following this guide, after all, you wouldn’t buy a car without seeing it first…..!?

Top Tip!
Go to PROPERTY and GUEST VIEW to see what your room cards look like, if you don’t have any images then it’s easy to add some, and make sure you have a good description added as well, nothing too wordy, but highlight all the BEST features to entice that sale!
